Disney's animated adventureĀ HoppersĀ rocketedĀ to the top of China's box office. Over its debut weekend, the film grossed 66.3 million yuan ($9.3 million), displacing local heavyweights.
China’s Top 5 Box Office:
- Hoppers ā $9.3 million (debut).
- Project “Hail Mary” ā Columbia Pictures’ sci-fi epic launched at #2 with $6.9 million.
- Pegasus 3 ā Han Han’s racing comedy slipped to third, adding $5.7 million (total: $606.6 million).
- Blades of the Guardians ā Yun Bin’s actioner starring Jet Li and Wu Jing earned $2.9 million (total: $195.6 million).
- Scare Out ā Zhang Yimou’s spy thriller added $2.2 million, bringing its total to $186.6 million.
