👁 Gen Z Prefers Thrillers

Online cinema Kion analyzed viewing preferences of 18–24-year-olds. The study found young viewers spend an average of 3 hours daily on content, strongly favoring series (chosen by 58% of respondents).

Gen Z’s Top 3 Series:

  • Bar “One Call” — absolute leader (26% of views);
  • Grapes — melancholic melodrama (21%);
  • Bud — bold dramedy (12%).

Interesting trend: Despite series popularity, completion rates are low at just 39%. Feature films show higher loyalty at 69% completion. Family comedies lead movie hits: Grandpa Goes to the Village and Dad 2. Grandpa.

Analysts note series have become “background” daily viewing for youth, while movies represent a more intentional, complete experience.
