🐘 Indian Blockbuster Conquers the West

The spy action sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge from Jio Studios and B62 Studios has become a genuine global box office sensation. After its third weekend, the film's earnings surpassed $174.4 million, cementing its historic triumph.

The film became the first Indian movie ever to cross $25 million in North America (now exceeding $26 million), officially beating the previous record set by the legendary hit Baahubali: Conclusion ($20.2 million).

In Germany, it became the first Indian project to break the €1 million threshold, making it the highest-grossing Indian title in that market.

In India itself, the film’s domestic earnings have reached $132.1 million.

Director Aditya Dhar bet on scale and star power: Ranveer Singh takes on dual roles, joined by R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt.

Despite a Gulf countries ban, Jio Studios’ strategy of penetrating new markets — from Finland to Chile — has paid off completely. The sequel currently ranks fourth among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, trailing only Dangal, Baahubali 2, and Pushpa 2.
