🐰 Vietnamese thriller "Bunny!!" earns $1 million in its opening week
The psychological thriller "Bunny!!" (Tho Oi) has made a triumphant debut on the global stage. Distributor 3388 Films reported that within just one week of screenings across North America and Europe, the film grossed over $1 million.
This marks the second-best performance in history for a Vietnamese film in these international markets.
The film premiered on March 26 across nine countries, including the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Poland. Currently, “Bunny!!” holds the title of the highest-grossing Vietnamese film of 2026, both domestically and abroad.
The project was written and directed by Tran Thanh, Vietnam’s most commercially successful filmmaker. His works currently occupy five spots in the country’s top 10 highest-grossing films of all time.
The plot follows a renowned relationship expert whose life begins to unravel after a meeting with a mysterious guest harboring a terrifying past. Following its strong opening week, distributors have announced further expansion: the film is set to premiere in Japan, Thailand, and Mongolia on May 22, with additional releases planned across Europe and Asia later this year.
