🎼 Plus Studio acquires Flysound
Plus Studio, the production center of Yandex, has announced the acquisition of the sound post-production company Flysound.
The studio, renowned for its work on blockbusters such as Major Grom, Ice, and One Hundred Years Ahead, will join the Yandex ecosystem while retaining its core team and existing partnerships.
Through this deal, Flysound will gain access to Yandex’s neural networks. This integration is expected to accelerate the development of AI-driven dubbing and advanced audio restoration technologies for classic cinema.
The merger aims to establish a comprehensive R&D center dedicated to elevating video and audio quality across the entire Russian media market. By bringing Flysound into the fold, Yandex is strengthening its internal expertise to deliver world-class, “turnkey” media products.
Mikhail Kitaev, head of Plus Studio, noted that the deal is a logical step toward building an innovative post-production powerhouse. Flysound will continue to operate under the leadership of co-founder Andrey Belchikov, focusing on integrating high-tech solutions into the creative process.
