🎵 RU.TV Unveils "Cosmic" Rebranding
Musical TV channel RU.TV has marked its 20th anniversary in a truly unique fashion, merging the music industry with space exploration technology.
On April 26, at 1:22 AM Moscow time, the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, carrying not only essential cargo but also the channel’s refreshed, Cyrillic-based visual identity into orbit.
The rebranding, timed to coincide with a double milestone—the channel’s 20th anniversary and the 15th anniversary of its signature music awards—signifies a shift to the Cyrillic spelling of its name. The launch of a rocket emblazoned with the new logo serves as a powerful metaphor for growth and the pursuit of new heights.
“Today, Baikonur has once again become a point of departure. RU.TV has launched its updated logo, opening a new chapter in our history. This is a symbol of moving forward—toward new formats and a deeper dialogue with our audience,” noted Sergey Bunin, President of Russian Media Group.
