🏴‍☠️ Ryan Gosling and "The Boys" Top Russian Piracy Charts

The Russian firm F6 has released its report on the most popular films and television series on pirated platforms for April 2026. The study is based on the volume of illegal copies available across torrent trackers and unauthorized streaming sites within the Russian segment of the internet (Runet).

Experts emphasize that the number of detected copies does not directly equate to total views. However, the data reveals a clear correlation: the higher the audience demand for a project, the more aggressively pirates distribute it online.

Film: Gosling Outpaces Cameron

The sci-fi epic “Project Hail Mary,” starring Ryan Gosling, topped the April chart for feature films. High expectations for this adaptation of Andy Weir’s novel predictably drove the film to the number-one spot among illegal distributors.

Second place went to the dark comedy thriller “How to Make a Killing.” Notably, the film was legally available via Russian digital rental services, yet this did not prevent it from becoming a major hit on pirate sites. The “bronze” went to James Cameron’s blockbuster “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” A massive influx of illegal copies of the third installment began immediately following its international digital release on March 31.

Top 5 Pirated Films (April 2026):

  1. “Project Hail Mary”
  2. “How to Make a Killing” (available legally in Russia)
  3. “Avatar: Fire and Ash”
  4. “Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice”
  5. “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come”

The action-comedy “Full Tacos,” which is also officially available in Russian online cinemas, rounded out the top ten.

Series: The Finale of “The Boys” and Russian Procedural Success

In the scripted series segment, the superhero action drama “The Boys” holds absolute dominance. The premiere of the fifth and final season on Prime Video on April 8 triggered an avalanche of illegal uploads.

Second place was secured by the domestic detective drama “Grachi,” starring Artem Tkachenko and Aleksey Makarov. Third place went to Netflix’s new adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s book series, “Detective Hole.”

Analysts noted the strong performance of domestic content, with four Russian projects entering the Top 10. In addition to “Grachi,” the list included the drama “Vremya Schastlivykh” (Time of the Happy), the sci-fi series “Radar,” and the melodrama “Taiga Story.” Despite being legally broadcast in Russia throughout April, a significant portion of the audience opted for pirated platforms.
