🎥 Gosfilmofond to launch unified digital "Super-Platform"
Gosfilmofond of Russia is set to consolidate its fragmented web resources into a single Unified Technological Online Platform (UTOP). A budget of 242.5 million rubles has been allocated for the development of this large-scale system, with auction bids accepted through May 18.
The new platform will integrate over ten existing websites, including the agency’s main portal, the Illuzion Cinema site, the Archive Film Festival, and the Tarkovsky: Chronicle project. Additionally, 15 government services will be digitized, ranging from the submission of mandatory archival copies to the issuance of distribution licenses.
The centerpiece of the project is an online archive featuring a catalog of 1.2 million records. Users will be able to view proxy copies, select specific time-stamped clips, and order high-resolution versions (up to Full HD and Apple ProRes) protected by digital watermarks.
The system will be built on a PostgreSQL database using a microservices architecture, with a heavy emphasis on advanced cybersecurity protocols.
