📈 Rostelecom’s Media Business Grows by 18%

Rostelecom has released its IFRS financial results for the first quarter of 2026. Against the backdrop of a 10% increase in total group revenue (to 208.9 billion rubles) and a 10% rise in net profit (to 7.4 billion rubles), the company’s media business emerged as a significant growth driver.

Revenue for the Wink video service alone jumped by 18%, reaching 12.4 billion rubles. This surge was bolstered by the acquisition of the “Smotreshka” platform, which allowed Wink to broaden its distribution channels.

Overall, the holding’s digital video services segment saw a 13% revenue increase, while the influx of paying subscribers for fiber-optic broadband (FTTB/PON) drove the internet segment up by 13%, reaching 32.6 billion rubles.

The group’s OIBDA rose by 14% to 83.9 billion rubles, with a margin of 40.1%. Strong financial performance and a systematic reduction in capital expenditures (CAPEX dropped by 35% to 28.6 billion rubles) have positioned the company for a successful start to its new strategic cycle.
