🔇 Beltelecom discontinues broadcasting of seven Russian TV channels
Effective May 27, 2026, the national telecommunications operator of the Republic of Belarus, Beltelecom, has ceased broadcasting seven Russian television channels simultaneously.
The programming changes affect the channel lineups of both the ZALA IPTV interactive television service and the SMART ZALA OTT streaming platform.
The following broadcasters have been removed from the operator’s basic service packages:
- Musika Live – a music and entertainment channel;
- 365 Days TV – a 24-hour historical cable channel;
- Tochka.RF – a travel and tourism network dedicated to exploring Russian regions;
- In the World of Animals – an educational and nature-focused project covering global fauna;
- Muzhskoy – a thematic channel tailored for automotive enthusiasts, hunters, anglers, and outdoor lifestyle advocates;
- KVN TV – a comedy network featuring the archives of the “Club of the Funny and Inventive” comedy games;
- Malysh – a children’s television channel for preschoolers, specializing in animated series and educational programming.
The operator’s press service clarified that all the aforementioned channels had previously been broadcasting on a trial basis. Following the conclusion of the test period, management made the strategic decision not to integrate these media assets into the permanent, regular broadcasting grid.
This marks the second major adjustment to the ZALA packages within the current month. Earlier, on May 11, Beltelecom also discontinued transmission of the popular Russian movie channel viju TV1000 Drama, which focused on foreign feature films and television series, including well-known Hollywood and European releases. The movie network had been available in the Belarusian operator’s package for a relatively short period, having launched at the end of 2025.
