📺 ON Media to Launch DetectiveJam Channel in Belarus

The local partner, MBG Bel, will serve as the content distributor within the country, following a three-year broadcasting license officially granted by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus.

This rollout marks the media holding’s second major international expansion milestone within the past year, following the ecosystem’s integration of the Kion streaming platform into the Kyrgyzstan market in 2025.

The channel is entirely dedicated to the detective and mystery genre, featuring a programming grid that spans over 800 hours of diverse programming. The DetectiveJam library comprises acclaimed British classics, contemporary European series, atmospheric psychological thrillers, and highly sought-after true crime investigative documentaries.

Alexey Ivanov, CEO of the Kion Cluster, emphasized the strategic rationale behind the business decision:

“The Belarusian pay-TV market demonstrates sustained demand for premium serialized content. The detective genre is universally appealing, and the strength of our content library has already been validated by high audience engagement metrics in Russia. Expanding DetectiveJam into Belarusian pay-TV networks is a logical next step in developing Kion’s footprint outside its domestic market. The audience here shares closely aligned tastes and interests with Russian viewers.”

In Russia, the channel maintains stable operational metrics. According to Mediascope data, its average daily reach exceeds 350,000 viewers, with a loyal audience core consisting primarily of women (70%). Entering the Belarusian market will enable the holding company to significantly expand its aggregate subscriber base and monetize its content portfolio beyond its domestic region.
