🔝 The Boys Tops TV Series Rankings in Russia

Medialogia has unveiled its Top 30 ranking of the most popular television and streaming series among Russian audiences for May 2026.

The top two positions were captured by international releases, which experienced major breakthroughs driven by new season rollouts: the American hit The Boys led the chart with 2,984 points, followed by Euphoria in second place with 1,983 points. Rounding out the top three was the long-standing flagship of domestic broadcasting, the procedural crime drama Sled (The Trace), which garnered 1,617 points.

Despite the dominance of Hollywood franchises at the absolute peak of the media rating, Russian productions demonstrated overwhelming superiority in terms of total volume, capturing 19 of the Top 30 positions (nearly two-thirds of the list).

In addition to Sled maintaining its bronze position, four other Russian series secured spots within the top ten:

  • Daddy’s Daughters (6th place)
  • Univer (7th place)
  • First Racket (9th place)
  • Molodezhka (The Junior League) (10th place)

Analysts note that while iconic, long-running franchises (Molodezhka, Daddy’s Daughters, Univer) saw a slight drop in points during May due to a lack of fresh episodes, their accumulated social capital and audience loyalty allow them to consistently remain among the market leaders. Concurrently, domestic series released earlier this year are gradually cooling down, yielding ground to May premieres.

May was marked by a sharp surge in demand for fresh content, with the number of premiering projects in the rankings nearly doubling month-over-month—climbing from 5 titles in April to 9 in May. In total, the study’s long-list encompassed 1,379 scripted and documentary projects (excluding children’s animation) released between 2025 and 2026.

The calculation of Medialogia’s final index is based on a comprehensive assessment of content impact on the Russian audience. The system aggregates user search queries, linear television viewing data, viewership metrics from major streaming platforms, and large-scale digital engagement across the Runet, analyzing activity from more than 3.2 billion social media accounts.
