🎬 St. Petersburg International Content Forum to Debut AI Hub
The St. Petersburg International Content Forum (SPbICF), scheduled to take place at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 21 to 24, is expanding the scope of its exhibition and business program.
For the first time in the forum’s history, a dedicated segment will focus entirely on generative artificial intelligence technologies within the media industry. The “AI Hub” initiative will combine a specialized exhibition floor, expert panel discussions, and screenings of innovative AI-generated cinema. Pavel Peregudov, founder and general producer of the MyFilm48 AI film competition, will co-author the program and curate the film screenings.
The primary focus of the AI Hub’s business track centers on the practical integration of neural network tools into film and video production workflows. Session participants will examine the impact of generative solutions on project economics, pipeline optimization, and the transformation of traditional industry roles. On the exhibition floor, software developers, media service providers, and specialized AI studios will demonstrate their products in action while offering direct consultations to commercial entities.
The hub’s cultural and showcase programming features screenings of international AI short films alongside a Work in Progress section for projects seeking partners and co-producers. Key highlights of the cinema track include the finals for Seasons 7 and 8 of the MyFilm48 competition—which drew over 4,400 submissions from 62 countries—as well as the official launch of the project’s next season.
