🚚 Gazprom-Media to Relocate RuTube and Premier to Skolkovo
The digital assets division of Gazprom-Media Holding (GPM) is set to relocate its operations to the Amalthea Business Center, situated within the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
The move—encompassing teams from RuTube, RuTube Tech, Premier, Digital Technologies, and Digital Innovations—is scheduled for November 2026, immediately following the expiration of their current lease at the Alcon Business Center on Leningradsky Prospekt. The holding company successfully qualified for inclusion in Skolkovo’s specialized media-tech cluster, which brings together game developers, animation studios, and IT solutions providers.
The primary catalyst behind the site change is commercial real estate cost optimization. Industry analysts estimate annual rental rates at the Amalthea Business Center at approximately 15,000 to 20,000 rubles per square meter (excluding OPEX and VAT). By comparison, rates at Alcon—where the holding has occupied over 9,000 square meters since 2022—reach 55,000 to 75,000 rubles per square meter. While GPM management also anticipates expanding business synergies and technological collaboration with fellow innovation ecosystem residents, whether its subsidiaries will secure official tax incentives from the Skolkovo Foundation remains an open question.
The relocation of the holding’s digital wing unfolds against a broader decline in private sector demand for space in Skolkovo. Analysts attribute this trend to logistical accessibility challenges outside the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) and heightened scrutiny from the Federal Tax Service regarding residents’ eligibility for tax preferences—factors that have previously prompted several major IT players to vacate space within the cluster.
