Even with the IMAX network fully committed to Christopher Nolan’s historical epic The Odyssey for three weeks, Destin Daniel Cretton’s film broke records across alternative premium large formats: generating $17 million across the 4DX footprint, $14.4 million in ScreenX venues, and $10 million in domestic Dolby Cinema auditoriums. Carried by a $225 million production budget, the blockbuster has laid a strong foundation to cross the $2 billion global box office milestone.

The story follows Peter Parker as he struggles with isolation and mutating abilities following the events of the previous installment, which left the world with no memory of his existence. The ensemble cast also features Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, and Jacob Batalon.
