🏴☠️ 'Obsession' Tops Piracy Charts
Anti-piracy firm F6 has released its July ranking of feature films and TV series with the highest number of illicit copies detected across torrent trackers and shadow streaming networks in the Runet.
Analysts note that while the detection of pirated rips does not correlate directly to exact viewership figures, it serves as a clear indicator of high consumer demand and the agility of unauthorized distributors.
Karri Barker’s horror feature Obsession claimed the top spot among feature films. Uwe Boll’s action feature Citizen Vigilante, starring Armie Hammer, climbed from fourth to second place, while Kane Parsons’ horror project The Backrooms rounded out the top three. The fourth and fifth spots were occupied by the action-thriller Night Business starring Russell Crowe and the family feature Sheep Detectives. Notably, of the entire top ten, only the French comedy Dream On (10th place) was available via legitimate domestic streaming platforms. The film ranking also included Flight 298, Enola Holmes 3, House of Savages, and the musical biopic Michael.
On the television side, the July 2026 piracy chart was led by the domestic detective thriller Chikatilo’s Trail, which made a major leap from ninth place the previous month. Foreign sci-fi series From and Silo held onto second and third places, respectively. The remaining top ten most pirated TV titles included Widow’s Bay, Dutton Ranch, I Will Find You, Star City, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, The Boys, and Spider-Noir.
