🕸 New 'Spider-Man' Leaks on X Following 'The Odyssey' Breach

A high-quality unauthorized copy of the film was uploaded to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), racking up nearly 6 million views before being taken down.

The original post featuring the full-length movie remained live on the platform for over nine hours, generating 5.9 million views, 143,000 likes, and 10,000 reposts. Although copyright enforcement teams actively issued takedown notices, a high volume of secondary re-uploads across third-party accounts made full containment challenging. Just a week earlier, Christopher Nolan’s historical epic The Odyssey faced a similar breach, with a camcorded copy drawing 2.1 million views over a two-and-a-half-hour window before the offending account was suspended.

Despite the leak, the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed feature—starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Sadie Sink—set an all-time preview box office record, pulling in $72 million and surpassing the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame ($60 million).

Industry analysts note that intense consumer demand and glowing audience word-of-mouth are effectively offsetting any financial damage caused by social media piracy leaks.
