📺 New Thematic and Regional TV Channels Become Available on Mediabaza Platform
The catalog of the Mediabaza B2B platform (an MSK-IX project) has been expanded with a new suite of specialized and thematic television channels designed for both nationwide broadcast and real-time coverage of regional developments.
Cable and satellite TV operators, alongside OTT platforms, can now access and distribute thematic projects from the NTV television network, regional outlets from Siberia and the Chernozem (Central Black Earth) region, as well as an educational faith-based channel.
NTV has launched the distribution of two new single-brand channels built around its long-standing, flagship TV franchises:
- Sledstvie Veli (Investigated): A thematic channel centered on the renowned documentary crime series of the same name. Positioned as a background-viewing (“ambient TV”) project, it emphasizes historic Soviet-era criminal investigations, retro aesthetics, and self-contained narrative episodes.
- Svoya Igra (Jeopardy! Russia format): An intellectually focused quiz channel leveraging the extensive archive of the iconic game show. The channel targets a mature, premium audience seeking engaging, non-confrontational educational content.
In the regional television segment, the Mediabaza catalog expanded to include channels featuring fully original programming and distinct broadcast schedules:
- TiViSi: A 24/7 news and educational channel serving Eastern Siberia. Its lineup includes regional news blocks covering the Irkutsk Region, the Republic of Buryatia, and Zabaykalsky Krai, alongside original regional programming and unique newsreel archives dating back to 1939.
- RBC Chernozemye: The official regional affiliate of the RBC news network, broadcasting since 2016. It provides business news and analytical coverage across six federal subjects—Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel, and Tambov regions—focusing on the macroeconomic agenda of the area.
The thematic lineup was further enriched by TBV (Blagaya Vest / Good News TV), an educational faith-based channel. It features general Christian educational programming, historical and cultural shows, and expert panel discussions with representatives from various Christian denominations across Russia.
All channels have successfully passed technical verification: operators can submit connection orders directly through the Mediabaza platform interface, while physical television signals are delivered via the Medialogistika terrestrial transport platform.
