🎤 MSK-IX Unveils Two Operator Services at BKOS 2026
At the recent Baikal Telecommunication Operators Conference (BKOS) in the village of Listvyanka, MSK-IX Medialogistika project managers Galina Kryukova and Yulia Blinova showcased two interconnected channels for working with TV broadcasters: reliable TV signal delivery via the Medialogistika platform and streamlined channel selection and ordering through mediabaza.ru.
The first part of the presentation focused on connecting operators to the Medialogistika platform and implementing signal delivery route redundancy. Galina Kryukova explained that operators can connect to Medialogistika via fiber optics at MSK-IX nodes and partner networks—including Rostelecom and Baikal-IX—or receive TV channels over the internet using the SRT protocol. The connection method can be tailored to match the operator’s existing infrastructure, channel package composition, and reliability requirements. To ensure fault-tolerant broadcasting, the platform allows operators to combine two delivery routes: a primary route over fiber and a backup route via the public internet using SRT. Redundancy can be applied to an entire channel package or isolated to priority channels. Additionally, the platform offers signal preparation for OTT services and Smart TVs, HLS and DASH transcoding, DRM protection, and other media processing solutions.
The second part of the session addressed how operators interact with the Mediabaza B2B platform. Yulia Blinova demonstrated how mediabaza.ru serves as a single window for discovering and requesting TV channels. Featuring a catalog of more than 500 channels, the platform enables operators to find relevant offerings through search and filtering tools, examine channel cards, and build customized packages. Once selections are made, operators can submit connection requests directly through the site. Mediabaza consolidates the catalog, request submission, rights holder interactions, and licensing workflow into a single digital process. This minimizes fragmented correspondence and makes the transition from discovering a TV channel to connecting it via Medialogistika both seamless and transparent.
