▶️ Russian Online Cinema Revenues Approach 100 Billion Rubles

In the first half of 2026, the combined revenue of Russian streaming services rose by 31% year-over-year, reaching 99.5 billion rubles. The market continues to display strong positive momentum, though growth rates are gradually stabilizing following surges of 45% in H1 2025 and 42% in H1 2024.

These findings were published in a recent report by the TelecomDaily research agency.

While the order of the top four players remains unchanged, competition within the group has intensified significantly. Kinopoisk maintains its market lead with a 31.3% share (down from 32.9% a year earlier). Okko climbed to second place with 16.4%, while Ivi tied for third with an identical 16.4% share. Wink holds fourth position at 15.2%, up from 13.7%. Among the top five platforms, Wink registered the highest revenue growth at 45%, trailing only Start, whose revenues jumped by 51% (expanding its market share from 6.3% to 7.2%). Kion’s share dipped from 8.5% to 7.6%, while Premier held steady at 4.1%.

Consumers have decisively embraced the subscription model (SVoD). Over the past six months, paid subscriptions accounted for 96.7% of total market revenue (96.2 billion rubles), while advertising-based monetization (AVoD) shrank to 3.3% (3.25 billion rubles). The AVoD segment also saw a shift in leadership: Ivi took the top spot with a 38% share, pushing Kinopoisk down to second place (33.6%), while Wink nearly tripled its presence in ad-supported streaming to reach 15.1%.

The licensing and partnerships (L&P) segment continued its decline, falling by 8.1% to 10.8 billion rubles. Amediatek emerged as the new leader here with a 33.4% share, followed by Ivi (21.6%) and Start (17.7%). Former segment leader Kinopoisk dropped to fourth place with 15.7%.
