⚽️ Sports fans use streaming more actively than others
According to a survey by The Associated Press-NORC, about half of US residents consider themselves sports fans, with 17% of them being true "superfans."
The study found that fans actively use streaming platforms. 40% of fans are subscribed to specialized sports services (ESPN+, MLB TV, and others). Among “superfans,” this figure reaches 60%.
Key findings:
▪️ 30% of fans watch games several times a week.
▪️ More than half of “superfans” watch games several times a week, and another 40% watch at least once a month.
▪️ 50% of fans are satisfied with the availability of sports broadcasts on TV and streaming services, while 26% are dissatisfied.
▪️ 40% of all respondents have ever subscribed to watch a specific show or tournament. One in three canceled their subscription after the season ended.
▪️ One in three has shared a password or used someone else’s account.
▪️ Men are more likely than women to watch games or highlights.
