🏆 The Koroche Film Festival Announces Its Winners
The 14th Koroche Short and Debut Film Festival has wrapped up in Kaliningrad, celebrating the best in contemporary Russian cinema. Bringing together outstanding short films and striking feature debuts, the festival program highlighted a remarkably high standard of emerging talent.
The Grand Prix in the short film competition went to Acoustics (Akustika), directed by Arseny Kasperovich. In the feature debut section, the top honor was awarded to Artyom Dubra’s Life After Death (Zhizn posle smerti).

- Special Prize “For Faith in the Human Heart”: 80 Beats Per Minute (dir. Grigory Kalinin)
- Special Prize “For Fidelity to the Traditions of Auteur Cinema”: Bo-Bo (dir. Anastasia Kuzina)
- Jury Diploma “For Intimacy and On-Screen Chemistry”: Friend (dir. Marina Kaletskaya)
- Special Prize from Russia-1 TV Channel: 80 Beats Per Minute (dir. Grigory Kalinin)

During the closing ceremony, a countdown synchronized across digital media facades in Moscow and Kaliningrad, culminatinatig in the short film winner’s title being projected onto New Arbat Avenue. A promotional video featuring the award winners will be broadcast on MAER screens across Moscow through August 27, giving this new generation of filmmakers widespread media exposure.
