📊 MTS Media Vertical Up 12.6%
ON Media holding, which consolidates the entertainment assets of MTS, reported its Q2 2026 financial and operational results. Consolidated revenue for the segment grew by 12.6% year-over-year to reach 6.9 billion rubles.
The expanding KION online cinema remains the key driver of business growth, with its total subscriber base across four environments (OTT, IPTV, cable, and satellite) increasing by 1 million to 15.9 million users. This year, the platform shifted its focus toward retention strategies and driving customer LTV: the number of active subscribers retaining their subscriptions for over six months rose by 14% year-over-year. This positive shift was driven by original releases—the series The Verdict (Prigovor) and Imprints (Otpechatki)—as well as major theatrical titles (The Tale of Tsar Saltan and Kommersant).
The ticketing cluster (Ticketland, Ticketscloud) recorded a total GMV of 7.9 billion rubles. Concerts accounted for 57% of revenue (52% in ticket volume), while theatrical productions made up 23%. Cinema ticket sales, launched in late 2024, posted a notable 33% surge. According to the holding, the average ticket price across Russia grew by 11% (to 2,391 rubles), with regional markets—which generate over half of the cluster’s total sales—seeing a 14% price increase (to 2,146 rubles).
Adjacent verticals also demonstrated solid growth: time spent on the “KION Stroki” e-book service increased by 33%, the active user base of “KION Music” expanded by 12%, and the catalog of the proprietary “ON Label” grew by 31%. The holding’s 360-degree ecosystem approach enables seamless cross-traffic distribution between digital content products and offline events, creating strong overall synergy.
