▶️ Live TV Channels Now Available on Mediabase
The B2B platform Mediabase has added direct live streaming within TV channel listings. This new feature enables pay-TV operators and OTT platforms to evaluate current programming schedules and video quality directly at the selection stage.
Previously, users had to search for streams on broadcaster websites or rely on external sources.
“We are systematically transforming the media product card from a simple reference page into an active operational tool. Operators can now review channel details and licensing rights, watch the live broadcast, contact the rights holder, and secure digital authorization—all in one place. Essentially, a major portion of the workflow, from initial discovery to final bouquet inclusion, is unified into a single digital space,” noted Grigory Kuzin, Director of Media Platforms at MSK-IX.
Live streams are currently available for 50 TV channels in the Mediabase catalog:

Broadcasts are served via an embedded secure player accessible exclusively to authorized Mediabase users, with no public access permitted. To protect signals against unauthorized copying and pirated retransmission, the platform employs a proprietary solution that identifies the source of any stream.
The new feature complements existing catalog data, streamlining content evaluation directly within the distribution workflow.
