🎠 Soyuzmultfilm to Open Indoor Amusement Park in Moscow
Soyuzmultfilm animation studio has unveiled the concept for its first indoor theme park, as announced by Yuliana Slashcheva, Chair of the Board of Directors. The project will blend classic mechanical rides with modern digital technology, drawing inspiration from the studio’s popular franchises.
To bring this flagship project to life, the company requires roughly 5,000 square meters of space and is currently scouting locations in Moscow’s major family entertainment centers. Beyond rides, the complex will feature a themed cafe, a premiere cinema hall for screening studio projects, and a merchandise store. The concept places a strong emphasis on family participation, with spaces designed so parents can join in the fun right alongside their children.
Commercial real estate experts note that leasing 5,000 square meters represents a major deal—comparable in scale to thermal bath complexes, fitness centers, and large entertainment zones, which remain in short supply across the Russian market. Soyuzmultfilm aims to finalize the location by the end of this year, with the grand opening planned for 2028.
This is not Soyuzmultfilm’s first venture into offline entertainment. Since 2021, the studio has operated the Soyuzmultpark multimedia center at VDNH—a 2,500-square-meter facility built for over 300 million rubles with support from the Moscow Government and the Ministry of Culture. However, the new site will be a fully-fledged amusement park centered on mechanical and hybrid interactive rides.
