⚖️ Soyuzmultfilm goes to court
The Soyuzmultfilm film studio is continuing its active fight against the illegal use of its characters.
Moscow courts are currently reviewing 26 new lawsuits filed by the studio. These claims have been directed to several district courts in the capital (Butyrsky, Kuzminsky, Tagansky, etc.).
The claims concern the unlawful commercial use of characters from legendary Soviet animated films.
Last week, a precedent was already set: the Tagansky Court of Moscow awarded Soyuzmultfilm 50,000 rubles in damages from an entrepreneur who illegally used the image of Cheburashka’s companion, Crocodile Gena.
The studio is consistently defending its intellectual capital.
