🛰 Satellite broadband revenue to double by 2030
According to a study by Juniper Research, global provider revenue from fixed satellite broadband (BBA) will grow from $10 billion in 2025 to $20 billion in 2030.
The key factor driving this growth is investment in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology, which significantly reduces latency and lowers launch costs.
Historically, satellite BBA was concentrated in wealthy regions due to the high cost of access. Over the next five years, the primary growth will come from developing markets, such as India and Indonesia, where consumers have a critical need for reliable high-speed internet.
Juniper Research analysts recommend that satellite providers actively form partnerships with mobile and internet operators (CSPs).
This will allow them to accelerate entry into new markets by expanding distribution channels and quickly gain customer trust by leveraging existing CSP brands and established billing systems.
