๐ "Super Bundles" save streaming from churn
Research by the consulting firm Simon-Kucher in Germany has revealed that bundled offers (super bundles), which combine multiple streaming or TV services, have become a key factor in customer retention.
Analysts found that 41% of German subscribers use “super bundles.” Those who use bundles are less likely to cancel services because the perceived value of the package is higher.
While 33% of users consider canceling after the first year, only 8% consider it after four years. Consumers are willing to accept a 22% discount for an annual subscription.
However, nearly one in five users would consider canceling if the price increased by 10%. About 48% are ready to cancel with a 20% increase. Disney+ subscribers are particularly sensitive (58% are ready to leave).
Price increases are the main driver of cancellations. Additionally, political controversies also influence decisions, leading users to cancel subscriptions to “express a stance,” even despite discounts.
