πŸŽžπŸ“± Wink launches "Stories" with vertical mini-series

The online cinema Wink has entered the micro-drama market by launching a new "Stories" section featuring vertical mini-series.

Episodes last only 1–3 minutes. A single series can consist of 60–100+ episodes, full of dynamic editing and plot twists. Currently, 44 series are available on the platform.

The interface is similar to TikTok: swiping allows for quick episode switching.

The global micro-drama market reached $1.4 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow to $9.5 billion by 2030.

“MTS Media” and “Ivi” previously announced plans to enter this segment. The NMG holding also has a separate “Stories” application targeting a female audience.

If the format proves successful, Wink is ready to create original vertical spin-offs of its originals.

Experts believe that success is only possible with a large volume of local content that takes Russian mentality into account.
