๐Ÿ‘ง Generation Alpha spends more time gaming than watching TV

According to research by the Attest platform, gaming has become the primary activity for current teenagers (Generation Alpha), surpassing traditional TV viewing and music listening.

39% of Gen Alpha teens (aged 15โ€“16) spend more than 3 hours a day gaming. This is higher than the time spent watching TV (30%) and listening to music (28%).

About 93% of teens play games daily. This marks a fundamental shift: while Zoomers were consumers (47% watched TV for 3+ hours), Alpha is increasingly made up of creators.

More than a third of teens are experimenting with AI content (videos, images) or even creating their own websites and applications.

Teens have near-universal gadget ownership: 93% own smartphones, 75% own consoles, and half use five or more devices.

For media brands, this means the future of entertainment is hybrid. Success awaits those who are ready to integrate their shows, events, and content within gaming ecosystems.
