🚀 Mediabase: accelerating the TV market and national control

Grigory Kuzin, Director of the Medialogistika project at MSK-IX, spoke at the "KonTech 2025" conference about how the Mediabaza platform connects content, transactions, and delivery into a single route. According to him, this combination offers market speed and a state-level of reliability.

The 10th “KonTech 2025: Content and Technology for Digital TV in Russia” conference featured an expert discussion on technological development strategies for the industry. Grigory Kuzin, Director of the Media-Logistika project at MSK-IX, participated and spoke about the new industry B2B marketplace, Mediabase.

He described the platform as a full-cycle infrastructure that connects all stages of work: from rights clearance and material preparation to release and secure content delivery. The speaker clarified that Mediabase is the B2B analogue of convenient OTT platforms, but for the professional environment, emphasizing that it was created to give the market speed and predictability by eliminating disjointed processes.

“Instead of fragmented processes, we have one route: content card, transaction, versions, release. When everything follows a single line, the time-to-market is reduced. Additionally, AI takes over the routine—from searching and descriptions to preliminary compliance—significantly reducing operational costs,” Grigory Kuzin stated.

The platform, developed by MSK-IX, also addresses state-level objectives. It ensures the transparency of rights and material turnover, and most importantly, the execution of regulatory norms. Thanks to machine screening, the system identifies potential risks, generates time codes, and suggests a recommended age rating. Compatibility with the domestic tech stack, encryption, and redundancy guarantee the sovereignty and security of Mediabase.

Grigory Kuzin paid special attention to the platform’s decentralized model, calling it a key competitive advantage.

“We are not building a closed vertical based on one vendor’s services. We are building a horizontal infrastructure—a community. This allows participants to choose the necessary services, and the platform’s development is determined by the voting of verified partners,” he stressed.

Grigory Kuzin also announced the launch of a “sandbox” within Mediabase for startups in the field of AI (auto-compliance, localization, cataloging), inviting the industry to participate in pilots to test and scale only those solutions that bring a measurable effect.

The 10th anniversary conference, “KonTech 2025: Content and Technology for Digital TV in Russia,” was organized by TMT Conference, IAA TelecomDaily, and Telesputnik. The event traditionally combines strategic, content, and technological streams, focusing on comprehensive case studies and industry integration to define the vectors for digital TV development in Russia.
