๐ค AI Hosts TV programme in Britain for the first time
As part of the program "Will AI Take My Job?", Channel 4 debuted the UK's first ever fully AI-generated presenter.
Throughout the entire episode, the presenter, created without a single frame of real footage, narrated the impact of AI on jobs (law, medicine, fashion).
Only in the finale did the host confess: “I am not real. In a UK TV first, I am an AI presenter.”
The goal was to demonstrate how easily AI can mimic a human, raising questions of trust and authenticity in the digital age.
Channel 4 management stressed that this was a one-off “stunt” designed to show AI’s potential. The channel has no plans to use AI presenters permanently, as it cannot provide “high-quality, verified, and impartial journalism.”
Producers noted that creating an AI presenter is becoming more cost-effective every week, posing a threat to media professions.
