📉 Viaplay's revenue decline slows
Viaplay Group reported its Q3 results, noting a slight improvement in core metrics amid ongoing business transformation.
The group’s total net sales for the quarter were SEK 4.018 billion (€367 million), a decline compared to the previous year. The net loss amounted to SEK 142 million. CEO Jørgen Madsen Lindemann stated that the transformation is proceeding as planned, with a focus on monetization and financial discipline.
Sales for the Viaplay streaming service in key regions grew organically by 1% due to an increase in direct subscriptions.
Global sports and local content projects are showing strong audience engagement.
In Q4, the company expects to complete the acquisition of the satellite operator Allente. This will be the next step in the transformation and strengthening of its position in the Nordic market.
Viaplay is focused on operational efficiency and reducing its debt burden.
