🤷‍♂️ Telesport files for bankruptcy

JSC "Telesport Group," one of the largest sports broadcast operators, has filed for its own bankruptcy. According to the liquidator's estimates, the company's total debt to creditors is nearly 3.6 billion rubles.

The company is unable to repay its debts.

The company owes over 2 billion rubles to betting companies. The debt to Channel One is 425,000 rubles. Additionally, the company’s founder, Petr Makarenko, is demanding over 100 million rubles.

Makarenko previously owned 99% of the shares but was removed from the shareholders by the court last June. Subsequently, Sergey Shishkin, CEO of Okko, bought 100% of the company, which he sold to Andrey Pershin at the beginning of October.

Last March, a criminal case was initiated against ex-founder Petr Makarenko following a complaint from Sberbank regarding the non-repayment of a loan of nearly 5 billion rubles. He was placed under house arrest.
