🤝 Tech Companies Unite to Accelerate Video on Mobile Networks

The TIP (Telecom Infra Project) Board has approved the launch of a new working group aimed at optimizing the delivery of live and streaming video content in wireless broadband networks.

The group is supported by leading Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and Content Providers (CAPs), including AT&T, Orange, Telefonica, Vodafone, YouTube, and others.

The group will focus on end-to-end video optimization that goes beyond existing industry standards.

Key Objectives:

📌Define a unified, commonly accepted set of Quality of Experience (QoE) metrics for video content.
📌Develop mechanisms for information exchange between operators and content providers so that video automatically adjusts to network conditions.

The new group will officially launch at the Fyuz 2025 conference and plans to present its first results in the first half of 2026.
