🇪🇸 Prime Video Overtakes Netflix in Spain

According to data from Barlovento Comunicación (as of October 2025), Prime Video has become the leading streaming service in Spain with 17.5 million viewers, slightly surpassing Netflix (17.3 million).

In just one month, 35.8 million Spaniards consumed digital content, confirming a steady transition to on-demand viewing.

16.9 million users watch VoD daily, spending an average of 68 minutes per day. Among active subscribers, daily viewing time exceeds two and a half hours.

The main way to access streaming has become Connected TV, which has overtaken mobile phones and tablets.

The typical user is 50 years old, suggesting the consolidation of a mature, tech-savvy audience. The most active group (41%) is adults aged 25–44.

The growth in viewing time is driven by exclusive content, the development of live sports broadcasts, and hybrid ad-supported subscription models.
