🇫🇷 French Youth Embrace the Merger of TV and Streaming

According to a Decrypt’Media study, the integration of TV channels into streaming platforms is progressing, but public awareness remains extremely low.

As many as 76% of respondents in France are unaware of partnerships such as France Télévisions on Prime Video or TF1+ on Netflix (launching in 2026). Even among Prime Video subscribers, only 34% know they have access to TV content.

However, this integration generates strong interest among younger audiences (under 35) — 73% say they would like to watch TV via streaming platforms.

For advertisers, this demographic — especially the 18–24 age group (81% interest) — is a strategic target, since they rarely watch traditional linear TV.

The most anticipated genres among subscribers remain series (60%), documentaries (44%), and entertainment shows.
