🇫🇮 Yle Adopts 5G for Studio Production
Finnish public broadcaster Yle has successfully tested a private 5G network for studio production — eliminating the need for external cables.
The pilot project, carried out in collaboration with Digita and using Nokia equipment, employed a wireless 5G camera to test low latency, mobility, and operational efficiency during the filming of a music show.
Yle stated that 5G brings “freedom and flexibility”, enabling the transmission of high-quality video — a critical factor for live broadcasts. The trial highlights the maturity of 5G technology for real-time media and production environments.
