⚽️ Sport Draws Audiences to the Screen
The analytics agency Glance has released a report highlighting record-breaking global TV audiences between September 2024 and August 2025.
Two major trends emerged:
1️⃣ Premium content:
The Super Bowl LIX finale set an all-time record with 126.7 million viewers in the US, reaffirming the power of live broadcasting.
2️⃣ Breakthrough of women’s sports:
The UEFA Women’s Euro became the No. 1 event in both the UK and Germany.
Viewership of the women’s Tour de France nearly doubled, reaching an average of 2.7 million viewers.
Tennis delivered historic results: the Roland Garros final drew more than 5.1 million viewers in France, the highest figure since 2011.
Football remains the global leader in 6 out of 15 surveyed countries.
The new NHL 4 Nations Face-Off tournament dominated viewership in Canada.
