🇬🇧 UK TV Sets Record for Content Exports

According to the annual Pact report, exports of British television programs have surpassed the £2 billion mark for the first time, reaching £2.02 billion in 2024/25.

The main driver of growth is the increase in library TV sales, which accounted for 44% of total exports. This has become a cost-efficient solution for a market facing budget constraints.

The United States remains the largest buyer, increasing purchases by 34% year-on-year. North America overall showed the strongest growth at 32%. In Europe, Italy (+64%) and France (+61%) demonstrated sharp recoveries.

Scripted drama continues to dominate, making up 46% of all export revenue.

Sales to traditional broadcasters rose by 4% to 54%, while sales to VoD platforms decreased by the same percentage.

Exports to Latin America and Asia continue to decline, falling 28% and 29% respectively.
