CEO Kevin Yeaman noted that the company closed the year with solid growth for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technologies, while also expanding into new markets with Dolby OptiView and a new patent pool for streaming services.

Despite the positive financial results and strategic progress, the market reacted negatively. Dolby Labs’ share price fell to $64.36, marking a 52-week low.

The company also continued its share buyback program, repurchasing around 479,000 shares for $35 million.
