💬 AI Will Summarize TV Series Plots on Prime Video
Amazon has announced the rollout of generative AI to power a new Video Recaps feature on its Prime Video streaming platform.
The AI analyzes a show’s storyline, identifies the most important moments, and combines them with synchronized voice narration, dialogue clips, and music.
The goal is to create a brief visual recap to refresh viewers’ memory before the start of a new season.
Prime Video Vice President Gérard Medioni called the feature “an innovative use of generative AI in streaming,” emphasizing that it will make viewing “more accessible and enjoyable.”
Video Recaps are already available for select Prime Video original series in English in the U.S.
The feature is currently supported on connected TVs, with support for additional devices coming in the next few months.
