▶️ Global SVoD Growth Slows
According to data from Gracenote, the catalogue growth of the world’s largest SVoD services slowed sharply in Q4 2025, reaching just 2.3% (compared to 9.7% in Q3).
Despite this slowdown, the FAST channel and sports content segments posted double-digit growth. The total number of FAST channels increased by 8.9%.
The overall volume of sports content on SVoD grew by 10%. Disney+ expanded its sports offering by 29% in the quarter, nearly catching up with Amazon in terms of sports content share.
FAST channels showed even stronger momentum: their total count grew by 8.9% (reaching 2,012). Sports content on FAST channels increased by 17.5%.
Amazon Prime Video maintains an absolute lead in total catalogue volume (69%). Drama remains the dominant genre.
Experts note that SVoD platforms continue to invest actively both in fresh original content (+25.4% for titles from 2020 and newer) and in the exploitation of older libraries (+21.5% for pre-1990 content).
