🤖 Russia Proposes Developing Its Own AI Standards
Lawmakers are proposing the creation of unique Russian technical standards in the field of artificial intelligence, their translation, and active promotion abroad.
Senator Artyom Sheikin stated that developing Russian standards is a key element of technological sovereignty and the competitiveness of domestic AI solutions. Such standards would ensure safety, compatibility, and trust in the technologies.
The development process should take into account the future international promotion of these standards. The goal is to support Russia’s foreign trade activities in AI and strengthen the country’s leadership across platforms such as the UN, the EAEU, and BRICS.
It is expected that promoting these standards internationally will allow Russian companies to confidently enter global markets and reinforce Russia’s role in shaping the global AI regulatory framework.
