📆 RSCC to Hold a Historic Tender

The Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian Satellite Communications Company” (RSCC) has announced the largest tender in its history — an open competition for the production of four geostationary communication satellites.

Two domestic manufacturers have been invited to participate: JSC “Reshetnev” and LLC “Gazprom SPKA.”

The competition, launched on November 17, 2025, consists of four separate lots. The results are expected to be finalized at the end of 2025.

The tender covers the creation of the “Express-40,” “Express-AMU6,” and two “Express-AMU51/52” satellites.

These satellites are intended to provide internet access, TV broadcasting, fixed and mobile communications, as well as digital services for regions and government agencies.

The planned launch of all satellites is scheduled for 2029, with commissioning in 2029–2030.

GPSS CEO Alexey Volin explained that “Reshetnev” and “Gazprom SPKA” were chosen because they are the only companies capable of producing heavy civilian GEO satellites with a guaranteed 15-year reliability.
