๐Ÿ‘ฅ Russian Video Platforms Expand Their Audience

The audience of Russian video services grew by 36.2 million over the past year, reaching 166.7 million, according to the Association of Bloggers and Agencies (ABA).

Rutube gained 22 million users (reaching 80.3 million), while VK Video added 4.2 million (up to 76 million) and claims leadership in monthly audience. Meanwhile, YouTube viewership fell by 19.4% over the year, dropping to 74.9 million.

The market is growing rapidly thanks to vertical formats. For example, the average daily views of VK Clips reached 3 billion (+42%).

New players are also emerging. The Wibes service from Wildberries quickly surpassed 10 million users.

VK’s โ€œShopsyโ€ format โ€” integrating content with e-commerce โ€” allowed creators to earn over 500 million rubles during two months of testing.

Anton Nemkin, member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, believes the growth of domestic platforms reflects structural changes and ensures technological sovereignty and predictable rules for business.
