πŸ‡©πŸ‡° Traditional TV in Denmark Is Losing Ground

The share of traditional television in Denmark has fallen to a new low β€” just 35% of total video consumption. According to an analysis by Mediavision, audiences continue to migrate en masse to online platforms.

Average daily viewing of traditional TV has decreased by more than 10 minutes per person over the past year. Streaming services and social video now account for 65% of all viewing time.

The shift is particularly dramatic among younger viewers, where social video alone has already surpassed traditional TV.

Meanwhile, the streaming subscription market continues to grow: in autumn 2025, a record 5.3 million paid subscriptions were registered, with global platforms contributing most to this increase.

The rapid redistribution of viewership poses significant challenges for broadcasters and advertisers. In a globalized landscape, the winners will be those able to effectively capture online audiences and adapt content strategies to new viewing habits.
