🛒 Harmonic to sell its video business

U.S.-based technology provider Harmonic has announced that it has reached an agreement to sell its Video Business division to MediaKind.

The transaction, valued at $145 million, will be paid entirely in cash.

The deal will allow Harmonic to focus investments on its core strategic area—virtualized broadband access—while also strengthening its balance sheet.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026, pending regulatory approval and consultations with employee works councils in France.

MediaKind CEO Allen Broome stated that the combined operations will create “a leading independent infrastructure company for the streaming market” with an expanded foundation for R&D.

Harmonic CEO Nimrod Ben-Natan emphasized that this strategic decision will help both companies accelerate their long-term growth strategies, giving Harmonic’s video business a strong partner in MediaKind.
