🤝 GPM Plans Cooperation with the UAE
At the first Russia–UAE business forum in Dubai, Gazprom-Media Holding (GPM) presented a strategic initiative: the creation of a Russia–UAE Creative Industries Center.
GPM CEO Alexander Zharov highlighted that the favorable conditions in the UAE make the country an ideal partner.
Key areas of cooperation already being developed by GPM include:
✅ Central Partnership has released 11 Russian films in the UAE since 2023, with plans to transition to a more systematic approach;
✅ A feature film titled Holidays in the UAE (working title) is planned for next year and will be submitted to the Abu Dhabi rebate program;
✅ Negotiations are underway with major UAE media companies (Abu Dhabi Media, MBC Group) regarding joint projects.
The joint center will serve as a platform for co-production, startup acceleration, research initiatives, and educational programs. The initiative is already being discussed with relevant ministries in the UAE.
