👁 Time-Shifted Viewing Gains Momentum in Spain

According to a report by Barlovento Comunicación, in November 2025 time-shifted viewing reached 8 minutes per person per day, accounting for 5% of the total time Spanish audiences spent watching television.

The study measures non-linear consumption of TV content within seven days after the original broadcast.

In November, 22 million people accessed time-shifted content, and the average daily audience reached 4.4 million viewers.

On pay-TV channels, time-shifted viewing represented 10% of all viewing time.

54% of time-shifted viewers were women and 47% men. The main demographic group was viewers aged 45–64 (44%).

The largest segment of viewers (38%) watched between one and two hours of time-shifted content.

The most popular time-shifted program in November was Anatomy of a Moment: A Provincial Falangist with 565,000 viewers. Leading broadcasters in time-shifted consumption included La 1, Antena 3, Telecinco, and other major networks.
